Dr. Hasan is a McLean dental implants provider dedicated to helping patients achieve changes that last. This requires doing complex work during implant placement that many providers do not.
After implants are placed, the bone tissue changes as integration occurs. At the same time, the gums will recede—unless your doctor performs gum grating in anticipation of these changes.
“The number-one issue that affects long-term implant outcomes is changes in the gum tissue,” explains Dr. Hasan. “When I do my implants, patients usually get a gum graft with it. That is what gives my implants longevity—it’s a strong barrier preventing infection.”
He uses advanced microsurgical techniques to make soft tissue grafting minimally invasive.
“The microscope gives you an extra edge,” says Dr. Hasan. “You can see ultra-fine details that traditional tools can’t give. The results from those surgeries with ultra-fine sutures are basically better and more comfortable.”
You may have heard that traditional dental implant methods often resulted in patients going without teeth for several months as they waited for their implants to integrate with the jaw. At Sculpt Center, you can arrive at our office with missing or severely compromised teeth and leave with an implant-supported restoration on the very same day.
Dr. Hasan will assess the state of your jaw and determine if your smile can support an immediate-load implant solution.

The implant itself is a prosthetic tooth root that resembles a screw. It is surgically placed in the jaw, where it become integrated with the bone tissue over the course of three to six months. Once this process is complete, it works in conjunction with two other components to replace teeth from the root to the crown:

An abutment is attached to the top of the implant, serving as the connection between the implant and the restoration.

The restoration (crown, bridge, or denture) is attached to the abutment to achieve a complete tooth replacement.
